Campaign map WIP


Quick post to say hi to all the new visitors finding us through Jupiter's article on AlphaBetaGamer - and to tease the campaign mode which is nearly done. Currently messing with the look of it, trying to create something fairly minimalist but providing an element of exploration and strategy to the overall game progress.

I definitely need to do something more with the icons to make the islands look as varied as the procedural landscapes they represent. There are 5 different biomes and a handful of key story items to scatter around the map, whose locations will be visible so you can plan. Bonus items will probably be left hidden to reward exploration.

The campaign is disabled in the demo but we are nearly ready to launch an early access build...and I'll get keys out to those of you who have kindly streamed the demo already!
